The problem

Small gaps that cost real time and money

01

Sessions start by reconstructing the week

The first minutes often go to remembering what happened since last time.

02

Ideas from session fade by Wednesday

Without a small prompt, the one thing a client meant to try is easy to lose.

03

Most tools are too heavy

Many between-session apps ask clients for more than they'll do. This is one page and about two minutes.

The average private-pay session fee was $159 in 2024, about $3 a minute for a 50-minute session. Source: Heard, 2025 Financial State of Private Practice report. $159 ÷ 50 min ≈ $3.18/min.

Why it's free right now

No cost. I just want your honest take on whether it actually helps day to day, and if it doesn't, that's just as useful to hear.

Who's behind this

Matt Breen

Founder, Ally Clinical

I'm Matt Breen, and I'm not a clinician; I started Ally Clinical because the time between sessions seemed like it could use a simple, low-effort structure. It's a new, simple tool, and I'd like a few therapists to try it and tell me honestly whether it's useful.

Why I built this. By day I'm a full-time account executive, and I build things like this at night. I'm not a clinician. I made this one page because the week between sessions seemed like it could use a light structure, and I want therapists to tell me if it's useful or not.

FAQ

Straight answers

Who are you?

I'm Matt Breen, the founder. Ally Clinical is a small, new, independent service that I run myself, from New York. You deal with me directly.

What does it cost?

The template is free. If a paid version ever exists, it will be simple flat pricing quoted upfront before you commit.

Is this a clinical tool?

No. It's a general organizing template, not a clinical instrument or assessment, and it doesn't replace your clinical judgment or records. If a client is in crisis or feels unsafe, they shouldn't wait for the next session: call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, US) or call 911.

What do you need from me?

Nothing about your clients. Just an email address to send the template to, and, if you're willing, your honest feedback after trying it.

Do you contact my clients?

No, never. I don't receive client information or PHI, and I have no way to reach your clients. The template stays in your hands.

How do I opt out?

Reply "no" to any email from me and I won't email you again. You can also ask me to delete anything you've sent by writing to matt@allyclinicalhq.com, and I will.
